Release order and story order are the same here, but the series splits cleanly in two: a 1990s trilogy about whether the park should exist, and a modern run about what happens once the answer stops mattering. The 2015 film is a direct sequel to the 1993 one and treats the two in between as background, so it is the one place you could reasonably skip ahead — this page does not, because those two are where most of the background comes from.
